Private lakeshore homes are not decorated for the holidays – most homes are summer residences. All lighted displays are provided by Gage Marine and Lake Geneva Cruise Line. On our cruise, we were told that we were going to Santa’s North Pole hideaway.

Gage Marine is supporting the Santa Cause this year with a donation of at least $25,000. Ticket prices vary per day, ranging from $20 to $28 for adults; $18 to $26 for seniors; and $9 to $18 for youths. Santa Cruise tours will be conducted Wednesday through Sunday until Dec. 30.

Lake Geneva’s next Bacon Fest promises to be the biggest local celebration yet of one of America’s favorite foods. People enjoyed a bright, brisk Sunday afternoon in March on the Riviera Beach in Lake Geneva. On the way to board the Santa Cruise, ticketholders will stroll through the Santa Cause Christmas Tree Festival, which offers the chance to win prizes. There will be some available, however, people are encouraged to park at Williams Bay High School and take the free shuttle to the Christmas Tree Barn for check-in.
